North River Ruby Port

Deep, dark candied fruit aromas flush the nose before the roasted cocoa and drying plum take over your taste buds. Warming with a wonderful mellowness. The wine finishes with a flash of dark fruit.

Aging: 3-4 years in used Canton MT and HT barrels

Notes from the Winemaker: Marechal Foch is arrested with “7 year old Port Brandy” made at Flag Hill’s Distillery from Foch and DeChaunac grapes grown on our farm. The spirit is deeply familiar of traditional Cognac style brandy.  The wine is barrel-aged for at least 3 years before it is ready for a bottle.  With limited production, this wine is not always on the shelf.
